Noth the Plaguebringer

Special Notes:
- Limited Invulnerability Potion



Noth the Plaguebringer, 1st boss in Plague Wing
Targets: Noth the Plaguebringer, Plagued Warrior, Plagued Champion, Plagued Guardian
Raid Composition Notes: 4 tanks. Enough druids and mages to handle the quick removal of curses.
Fight Duration: 5 minutes



NOTH THE PLAGUEBRINGER

  • Stats
    • Level: 63
    • Health: 1.665.500
    • Armor: 4,691
    • Standard Attacks
  • Blink
    • Cooldown: 25-30 seconds
    • Effect 1: He blinks (like a mage) about 20 yards away from the maintank. When this happens, all Aggro is resetted!
    • Effect 2: Everyone in melee range of Noth will be affected by "Cripple" when he uses Blink. This can make it tricky for the maintank to pick up the boss again if not dispelled quickly. Priests dispel magic.
    • Effect 3: Immediately after blinking, Noth will cast "Curse of the Plaguebringer" on the raid. Mages and Druids remove curse.
  • Curse of the Plaguebringer
    • Type: Curse that hits everyone within 30 yards of the boss (possible for many people to avoid this curse)
    • Effect: The curse is harmless if removed before the 10 seconds duration. If the curse is not removed, it will place the "Wrath of the Plaguebringer"-effect on the player dealing Nature damage and additional damage over 10 seconds. Furthermore, everyone near that player will recieve the same effect! Needless to say this would be a total shitstorm. Remove curse on everyone!
  • Cripple
    • Type: Magic
    • Duration: 15 seconds
    • Effect: He will cast this every time he blinks, on those around where he blinks FROM, doing an AoE debuff that slows movement, attack speed, and strength by 50%. Priests should dispel this magic effect from all Melee as soon as possible ofcourse to bring their dmg up again, but priority on the maintank ofcourse so he can pick up the boss!
  • Summon Plagued Warriors
    • Cooldown: 30 seconds
    • Effect: 1 Plagued Warrior is summoned from 3 corners of the room (total 3 plagued warriors). They are fairly weak but must be tanked. Cannot be shackled. Because the boss resets threat all the time, it's usually a good idea to have any warlocks or mages help killing these skeletons so they get killed before the First Balcony phase begins. These adds uses Cleave ability, so casters stay away and meeles attack from behind!



Phases

Noth Phase (90 seconds)
Noth stands in the room when we arrive, we engage the fight. Noth will use all of his abilities, see above.

First Balcony Phase (70 seconds)
Noth teleports up onto his platform, where the raid cannot reach him.
Now a total of 3 Plagued Champion spawn. 1 from the 3 corners of the room, furthermore there will be 2 waves of this, so a total of 6 Champions must be defeated.
The champions hit very hard, and can also do Mortal Strike debuff. Tanks are assigned on every corner to pick up the Champion and it has to be quickly killed and stunned as much as possible.
Plagued Champions uses Mortal Strike (up to 5.000 when crushing vs tanks) and uses Shadow Shock 500-650 shadow AoE damage on everyone within 25 yards range. Casters can outrange the AoE effect and meele can avoid it by keeping the Champions chainstunned.

Noth Phase (110 seconds)
Noth comes down from his platform. Same thing happens as the first Noth phase. Note that this phase has 20 extra seconds compared to the first one. It is possible for us to defeat the boss during this phase. In fact it is considered a wipe if we do not manage to kill him during this.

Second Balcony Phase (70 seconds)
Noth teleports up onto his platform for the 2nd time. This time identically to First Balcony phase, 6 champions will spawn, but furthermore also 2 Plagued Guardians will spawn. Guardians are caster-type skeletons which are extemely difficult. When we defeated Noth the first time we killed him during the second Noth phase, so we didn't actually experience this phase, but it is generally considered a wipe if we don't kill Noth during second phase.
Plagued Guardians uses Arcane Explosion dealing 800-900 arcane damage. Don't forget about the Champions as well.

Noth Phase
If we survive the second balcony phase, then Noth should have so low health at this point that it's pretty much a win.




Coordination

There are 3 places where minions spawn: the South-West, North-West, and North-East of the room. Big bone piles also gives away the locations.

We set up a team for each of those 3 places.
During the Noth-phases, such a team will only consists of:

1 Tank
1 Healer (usually a druid)


During the Balcony phases however, the entire raid will be split up to deal with the more powerful minions.

2 groups goes South West
2 groups goes North West
2 groups goes North East

Hunters will be assigned independently to each of the places so we have Freezing Traps, and other healers also have their individual assignments.
